| The Margham Gas Establishment Expansion Project, Dubai
To satisfy the thirst for electricity created by this booming metropolis, two pipelies were constructed in 2006; The Margham Pipeline (53 km) to provide gas for re-injecting existing wells to remove condensate, and The DEWA Pipeline (37 km) to provide gas to the power sector for the generation of new electricity.
This project included 374 PBV trunnion mounted ball valves with stainless steel trim and metal-to-metal seats. This included 31 units of 36" 600# valves and 25 units of 30" 600# valves with more than half of these valves actuated. The rest of the valves ranged in size from 2"-24", with both butt-weld and flanged connections.
Zy-Tech's representative in Dubai and master customer service center for the rest of the Middle East, Intertech Trading Co. LLC, masterfully directed the project to a successful completion.
